I am the Voice

October 27, 2009

I know that I have the ability to achieve my definite purpose in life:

therefore I demand of myself, persistent, continuous action towards

its attainment and I here and now promise to render such action.

I fully realize that no wealth or position will long endure

unless it is built upon truth and justice;

therefore I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit

all to whom it effects.

I am succeeding by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use

and the cooperation of other people.

I induce others to serve me because of my willingness to serve others.

I eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, cynicism, anger, and fear

by developing a true love for all humanity,

because I know that a negative attitude towards others

will never bring me success.

I cause others to believe in me because I believe in them

and believe in myself.

This is my creed, my quest.

To never stop striving for the top.

To always keep moving forward.

To always be the very best I can be.

I am the power. I am the magic. I can not be stopped. I am a winner.

I promise to always be true to myself

because I am the creator and master of my universe

and I am responsible for making a positive difference in the world

and to the quality of life in it.

I live in constant and never-ending improvement.

Hour of Power

October 24, 2009

Anthony Robbins, world renowned NLP developer and seminar leader gives a gratitude excercise in his program, Get the Edge. Here’s what Mr Robbins suggests as an “hour of power”; “30 minutes of passion” or “15 minutes of fulfillment” first thing in the morning…

1) Get moving – get dressed, get shoes on, getting walking – e-motion – energy in motion – get your body moving, get your feelings moving

2) Start feeling and being GRATEFUL. Tony says he uses a kind of “web” technique. So he starts with his family and close friends and build out the web of gratitude to others in his life. Here’s where you can really think about and dwell upon all the things you could be grateful for in your life – and actually thank God for them and acknolwedge yourself, too.

3) Do this for 2-10 minutes

4) Do a breathing excercise where you stimulate your body’s metabolism. Simply breath in the pattern – inspiration (count 1) hold (count 4) expiration (count 2). Do this 10 times.

5) Think about those things you want in your life – visualise as you’re walking. Combining the movement with the visualisations stimulates the emotional energy and your overall energy. This is very effective.

(2-10 minutes again)

6) Excercise to sweat for 15 minutes minimum – run, jog, swim, cycle whatever – just GO GO GO! And at the same time chant INCANTATIONS – like affirmations but you’re saying them in a state of total conviction whilst excercise and with intense repetition.

For example: “Every day in every way I’m getting stronger and stronger”

The Art of the Start by Guy Kawasaki

September 30, 2009

Q.  I admit it:  I’m scared…  Is this a sign that I don’t have what it takes to success?  Am I not truly committed?

A. You should be scared.  If you aren’t scared, something is wrong with you. Your fears are not a sign that you don’t have the right stuff.  In the beginning, every entrepreneur is scared. It’s just that some deceive themselves about it, and others don’t.

You can reduce these fears by diving into the business and making a little progress every day.  One day you’ll wake up and you won’t be afraid anymore – or at least you’ll have a whole new set of fears.

Excuses Begone by Wayne Dyer

September 28, 2009

YOU  DON’T  ATTRACT  WHAT  YOU  DESIRE, YOU  ATTRACT  WHAT  YOU  ARE.

-Wayne Dyer

It’s going to be risky: Being myself involves no risk. It is my ultimate truth, and I live it fearlessly.

It will be difficult: I have the ability to accomplish any task I set my mind to with ease & comfort

I don’t deserve it: I am a Divine creation, a piece of God.  Therefore, I cannot be undeserving.

It’s not my nature: My essential nature is perfect and faultless. It is to this nature that I return.

I can’t afford it:  I am connected to an unlimited source of abundance.

No one will help me: The right circumstances and the right people are already here and will show up on time.

I’m too scared: I can accomplish anything I put my mind to, because I know that I am never alone.

Do not suffer from loneliness

September 22, 2009

Do not suffer from loneliness.
Go outside.
Go away.
It’s all the people making you lonely.
Pick a spot on the horizon and head straight for it.
Weave your way through a stand of Redwoods.
Kayak an island chain.
Peer over your toes at the edge of a canyon.
Go to your favorite place.
Again, and again.
This is what you need to do.
Not just because it fuels your independence,
But because it reminds you you’re a part of something bigger.
And although it may not occur to the baffled onlookers
who can’t take their eyes off
your smiling mud-covered wired-up insane self,
it will occur to you.
You aren’t the one who’s lonely.
